Durango, CO Contractor

Hello, my name is Peter Schmitt. 

I grew up on a Ranch outside of Durango CO. In high school I worked with my uncle building gas units for the New Mexico natural gas field. I learned to weld, rebuild compressors and fabricate. After high school I went to Texas and did an internship to become an audio engineer. Following the internship, I started touring with bands, my career as an audio engineer brought me all over the US then landing in WA. I then married my best friend and got off the road and started working as a local audio engineer and technical/facility manager at a church. March 11th, 2020, everything changed. Months of jobs disappeared overnight and soon after that the year seemed to be a total loss. What did not change was the ability to assess, adapt and move forward. I decided to start doing contractor / handyman work around the area and it didn't take long for me to make it my full-time job. 

We then had the opportunity to purchase part of the family farm that was going to be sold, and we did. We have moved back to Durango CO, and I am continuing to work as a contractor in and around Durango CO. 

In 2024 my best friend Luke from WA moved to CO to Partner with me and help grow the business. God has been so good! We are thankful. 

Contractor Work: 

We do residential remodels, additions and general construction. Projects range from high end bathroom remodels, deck builds, exteriors, home improvements, door and window installation and roof repairs.
